Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Managing Maybelline Promotional Merchandising in the grocery accounts. Communicating with commercial and marketing teams, and our design agency Linney to ensure the smooth running of all artwork projects. My day-to-day duties included briefing in creative jobs, product load up meetings and liasing with Linney on artwork amends.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes - I was responsible for managing Maybelline promo merchandising across 6 grocery accounts. My line manager was responsible for our high st accounts (Boots and Superdrug) which I often helped out with as well.

Lots of support. Had up to 3 one to one meetings with my line mananger every week to check in on how I was doing with the role.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
I worked with lots of lovely individuals, but sometimes the general atmosphere of the company was very competitive and not hugely welcoming of newcomers, especially those with a quieter personality. The company genuinely wants you to succeed and do well though, they are great at celebrating wins and encourage you to have an ambitious mindset.
