Summer Intern Review

I sit in the strategy consulting team and this is very project based, so you are always resourced onto some kind of project with other members of the team. You have daily meetings to keep up to date with the work you're completing. At the end of the meetings the manager normally gives you a task to complete or help you can give to the rest of the team. And then you may have another check-in meeting but it is more informal where you are constantly updating your team with your progress throughout the day.

Lots, they let me work on slides, work with the data on excel, and would always ask for my opinion on things. They also let you join client meeting calls and even attend ones in person with really senior individuals in the c-suite.

Developed my professional skills; the way you communicate with members of your team, time management.

We worked closely with the early careers team who set up weekly calls about introducing us to the company and other skills we can develop in our professional lives. My team was all lovely, and always offered help before I even asked. They don't expect you to know everything straight away.

I was in a very young team who frequently came to the office. Very chatty in the morning, before lunch, and at the end of the day. Very welcoming and friendly and everyone encouraged you to go home as soon as 5.30 came around.
