Company support is very nice. Services are available. However, team assignment is not handled very well.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I have enjoyed so far. The compensation and culture is very nice. However, the problem is that you are not given any choice over which team you are assigned, and you are assigned to one team for the duration of the placement. If you're doing a placement to develop your coding skills, you may get lucky and end up in a backend role for your whole placement, but you could also end up in a role which doesn't require you to code at all.

What advice would you give to others applying to Citi
Make sure to curtail your CV extremely explicitly to what you want to do at the placement and what your talents are. I'm not entirely sure, but it may play a role in the assignment of your team. Possibly try to speak to your recruiter about what you'll be working on.
