Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Completed summer internship within Internal Audit. The role exposed me to all areas of Internal Audit from stakeholder management to documenting stages within the Audit process. Was able to gain holistic and comprehensive overview of a bank and how its different components interact. Worked in a positive office culture where learning was encouraged and members of my team were always there to help.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Very positive and open. Great exposure to all colleagues across business lines, especially senior leadership. Inclusive and diverse. They were accommodating to any extra special requirements etc.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I thoroughly enjoyed my placement. I would highly recommend to anyone thinking of pursuing an opportunity to work in Scotiabank. The bank offers great exposure to banking all whilst working in a positive open environment where learning is championed.
