Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

A Corporate Banking Summer Analyst role offers a dynamic, hands-on experience, gaining exposure to various aspects of client relationship management, credit analysis and deal execution for corporate clients across diverse industries (ranging from Natural Resources, Consumer and Healthcare, FIG, Public Sector, Industrials, TMT etc). Responsibilities typically include assisting with financial modeling and analysis, conducting industry and company research, preparing credit memos and client presentations and supporting the team in daily operational tasks.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, I believe I was given a good level of responsibility, however always under senior guidance and supervision.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

My summer internship experience proved to be highly valuable both in terms of personal and professional growth. Besides developing commercial, technical and soft skills, I also got the opportunity to interact with the bank's wider network and meet colleagues from different divisions, making the experience very enjoyable.
