Route development and process chemistry.
Carrying out experiments, analysing data and communicating results.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes I worked on synthetic steps independently and carried out a self led project over 3 months. I was responsible for organising the work I carried out.

I am a lot more confident working in the lab independently. I have learnt more about analytical techniques such as SFC and 2D NMR. I have become a more confident presenter.

My supervisor was extremely supportive and helpful throughout. All staff were kind and happy to support when required, particularly those near me in the lab and my project team.
