Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My role was to help out in projects by either helping with design, analysis, or planning of site visits.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I was given the opportunity to present some work to the PDs and PM for site visits. Most design tasks you are given support but you are essentially in charge of the calculations. The work will be checked after but it is nice to have responsibility early on.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Yes, learnt plenty of new skills and improved my existing skills. Got more comfortable with using Eurocodes and British Standards, improved my excel skills, used software like bluebeam and AutoCad. You are given a fair bit of responsibility so you build quite a lot of your soft skills as well.

Plenty of support was provided throughout the internship when needed. Everyone was super friendly and willing to dedicate time to help.
