Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
I worked on matters relating to significant energy, infrastructure, and development projects, which gave me a clearer view of how they’re delivered in practice.
I was given varied and meaningful work, including drafting emails to clients, conducting research into policy, case law, and project-specific issues, preparing due diligence reports, and creating PowerPoints for business development and client use.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
The scheme provided a good opportunity to speak to people in different departments and to learn more about the work they do and the opportunities available.

The biggest skill I developed was legal research, I became faster and more focused when identifying relevant policies, case law, and guidance. I also learnt how to leverage legal technology such as Lexis AI to streamline the process.
