Depending on the department:
Data Analysis
Preparing and presenting technical reviews
Creating test plans
Moving/ shipping hardware
Creating a bill of materials
Speaking to a global cross functional team

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes a good mix of tasks, many of which are critical to customer. I felt that I was truly contributing to the team/ project

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

Definitely developed existing skills. The people based softer skills I think are more applicable to modern working life than some of the more technical skills taught at university.
There has been technical learning also but more building on what was already there

As much as I wanted/ needed. I did not feel as though I was being watched all the time nor did i feel abandoned

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

They are a very diverse company who pride themselves on equality. I found the atmosphere to be constructive but not too oppressive. Neither totally laid back. Which I think is a good medium.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

Very much enjoyed my placement. Not without its highs and lows like any job but overall an excellent experience and a true feel of what life as an engineer will be like.
