Aerodynamic design of front end surfaces (Front wing, front suspension and front wheel assembly furnityre) and analysis of Computational Fluid Dynamic simulations and Wind Tunnel results to enhance the aerodynamic performance of the Formula One vehicle.

Yes, as the year progressed and my experience grew along with my job specific skills I was able to contribute to de development of the Formula One car like everyone else in the department.

I have develop new skills such as 3DX for computer aided design purposes or python and Linux programming for CFD, improved existing skills such as aerodynamic principle understanding and application of these principles for design purposes, and I have developed interpersonal skills such as working under pressure and tight deadlines, communication skills such as presentation skills and technical discussions in order to better defend my arguments and get certain points across.

I received the right amount of guidance to be able to get up to speed at the beginning of the internship but as the year progressed I was allowed more independence and I was allowed to make certain mistakes by myself to be able to learn from them.

A good team atmosphere of cooperation and everyone pushing towards the same goals. Everyone was keen on giving me a hand if I needed it and never hesitated to explain something that I did not understand if I asked.

I enjoyed it a lot and would love to return if possible. I liked the fast paced work environment and the constant push for excellence and performance.
