Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Collaborating with teams across financial products to gather stakeholder requirements. Using SAS/SQL and Teradata to extract, analyse and present insights supporting business decisions.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I have been given a lot of responsibility during my placement and have been able to work independently on projects and asks which has been great for my learning and development.

I have developed my SQL/SAS skills, learnt how to use Teradata, utilised PowerBI. I also completed a course in Databricks.

I have received a lot of support and guidance through 1-1 meetings with my manager, regular team stand-ups and I feel comfortable to ask questions that have helped me learn new skills and develop my work.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture and atmosphere has been really great. Everyone is really friendly and happy to help and answer questions. There is a really collaborative atmosphere which makes it enjoyable to come into work.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I have really enjoyed my placement so far as I have the opportunity to grow my skills and understand what it is like to work in data. The people I have worked with have been really great and I have been enjoying the tasks given to me.
