Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
As a placement student in the Financial Planning and Stress Testing team, I supported a full planning cycle through modelling and reporting activities using Microsoft 365 and enterprise planning systems. I worked closely with my manager, accountants, and cross-functional teams, and collaborated with fellow interns on a social impact initiative. I also tracked my development using feedback tools and goal-setting frameworks, gaining exposure to both business-as-usual and project-based work.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I was given a great deal of responsibility during my internship. I had the opportunity to take the lead on tasks within my team and contribute to a variety of project-based and charitable initiatives, which helped me develop a broad skill set and gain valuable hands-on experience.
