Lots of wet lab work and planning. Attended various meetings. Collecting and analysing data
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was responsible for planning my week but had weekly meetings with my supervisor to guide me and brainstorm what we wanted to achieve next. Also lots of opportunities to join committees and be involved in organising events and talks

Plenty. I worked within a fairly large team and everyone is very collaborative and helpful. There's also a mentorship scheme where you can find a mentor that is suited to your needs
