Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
As a UIPS student I work towards delivering the project assigned to me from my department. This involves a lot of lab work and data analysis as well as networking opportunities through company events, delivering presentations and conferences.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was primarily responsible for completing the research project assigned to me, as well as having basic lab responsibilities including the maintenance of equipment.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I have gained invaluable hands-on experience, learning about many different laboratory techniques and instruments. I have also gained an understanding on how to work within a multidisciplinary team, as well as collaborating with other organisations, to deliver on projects in the pharmaceutical industry

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
This placement has significantly deepened my technical expertise, allowing me to grow as an independent researcher while contributing to meaningful work within the field of pharmaceutical research. Advancing cutting-edge science on a day-to-day basis kept the placement rather interesting and allowed me to enjoy a lot of the work done towards my project.

For the interview stage: Create some practice answers to questions aligning to each value (follow the science, entrepreneurial….) structured in the ATOLA method.
