Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Got involved with trainee style tasks in the team I sat in such as research tasks, drafting and proofreading. Attended team meetings. Attended commercial awareness webinars and information sessions on the firm and opportunities within the firm. Carried out training modules on issues such as data protection and sustainability in the workplace.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
The team made sure that we had many opportunities to talk to as many people within the firm as possible. We had information sessions about opportunities with the firm separate to training with the firm such as paralegal role opportunities.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I learned how to prioritise tasks effectively through being given multiple important tasks with similar deadlines. I developed the ability to draft notes for clients and the skill of knowing how much information was necessary to provide. I learned how to research and present the research to team members concisely.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Very friendly, warm and welcoming. Every person that I came across was more than happy to welcome us into the firm and have a chat about their role.
