Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Working on various different types of tax including Self Assessment, Corporation Tax, VAT. Dealing with other queries that come in. Completing proposals to engage clients and having meetings with said clients where necessary.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme massively, as I am always dealing with new scenarios and learning new things that I would not do in other circumstances. Along with this the company is an enjoyable place to work due to the fact that the team is enjoyable to work with.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, I have learnt many new skills within accountancy that I had not encountered before working in this arear, along with also developing existing skills such as time management, communication and many other skills.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

It is very well organised, from when I started to now I always knew what work was for me to complete, and how to go about doing this. Whether that be through having training with a team member or individually, everything has always been very clear and concise.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive support from employer wherever necessary, whether this be for work, my qualifications or any personal issues. My employer makes sure they are there to support, and will drop what they are doing often in order to help me out if I have any issues with anything.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Again as stated above my employer are willing to help out whenever they can. If there is something I am struggling with for my qualifications, they ensure they make the time to go through this with me so that I feel more confident with this going forward.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification helps in my role, as it gives me a base understanding going into a task that I can use to then develop how I complete this said task going forward. Without the qualification I would have to learn everything on the job from scratch.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

The company tries to provide activities at work, these are normally social activities. Many of these will involve going out as a team to try and build team morale and improve working relationships.

Why?
The company is a great place to work, full of great team members all of which are willing to help out wherever necessary. They are willing to support you in every situation, even if this is one which is outside of work showing how much they value everyone individually.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Davenports Group Ltd?
I would say to be yourself and try to showcase that you are willing to put the work to get to where you want to be, as the company are very accepting of everybody but also value the importance of strong work ethic to progress forward with qualifications.
