Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am an Assistant Project Manager, which involves managing and coordinating teams to enable and ensure the delivery of project within a fixed timescale, to an agreed budget and to an appropriate standard. This involves the following: programme management, risk management and contract admin.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my uni course at UCEM. The modules are varied and applicable to my role. The course is very flexible meaning that I can tailor it to suit my needs.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, I have learnt lots of new skills since starting at Coreus including the following: chairing meetings, presentation skills, risk management, programme management, contract admin and practice, tendering and procurement.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is extremely well organised and structured. I have a clear plan, which involves obtaining my degree before than moving onto my APC in order to become a Chartered Project Manager. Coreus have helped me to establish this plan and have provided continual support along the way.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support from my employer. They attend my uni review meetings and are always promoting career development through networking opportunities and CPD's. My employer also supports me at uni always answering any of my questions.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Coreus provide lots of support. Everyone is happy to help answer any of my uni questions and even provide real examples to help me put the knowledge into context.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The modules are directly relevant to the Project Management course therefore, they are helping to further my knowledge in a range of topics, including the following: construction technology, law and regulatory frameworks, measurement and quantification, construction economics and upcoming digital technologies.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, Coreus arranges lots of social events including a company away day. Coreus also encourages me to attend lots of different networking events to help grow connections. Recently, I have attended Women in property and CESW networking events.
