Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I create social-media and marketing for the business, uploading onto LinkedIn and other socials. I try to gain new customers through social media posts and create sales for new and existing clientele.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my program and how I have gained creative freedom for posting our social media videos and pictures. I enjoy seeing how well I have progressed from the start of my course to now.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt how to use editing apps to improve our online videos and pictures, this has made me more confident within the online world and helped e gain confidence in the workplace when socialising with customers.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My program is very well structured with online meetings running every few weeks to assess how well I am doing and what improvements can be made from previous weeks. We then go into my new tasks for the next few weeks this helps me stay in control of my work and not become overloaded.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I meet with an employer every week to discuss what needs to be done for the upcoming week and to look back on how well the previous weeks have been going. They are always there to help whether its for my college work or for general work which has helped me to create good bonds with my employers.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive lots of support from my training mentor, we meet every few weeks and I am able to get in touch with her via email or phone anytime in between. This constant support will help me reach my qualification and at a high level.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It has taught me how to create more professional and engaging posts for our socials and taught me methods which I now use daily within the workplace. This has helped me to create drive onto the website leading to new customers finding out about our company.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Our company has signed up for SubCon which is a professional networking event and I have been lucky enough to be chosen to go down with a few of my other employers. I have helped to create our event space which has helped me to feel more involved with the activity.

Working in Bryken is a welcoming, friendly and professional environment to work in. Bryken has taught me many skills which I will be able to use inside and outside of the workplace.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Bryken?
A tip I would give for working at Bryken is to always listen to people when you are learning the job, some of the employers here have worked here for 10+ years and are very knowledgeable. Overall though the friendly people and work ethic in Bryken is so inspiring and is an amazing place to work.
