I provide support to people with disabilities to help them in their jobs. I also manage a team of fellow support workers, deal with funding application and organise service use.

The learning in the apprenticeship has supplemented me gaining overall experience during my job role and given me a theoretical framework through which to view my job.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The apprenticeship is well structured in it's learning. However, the content that is provided is academically flimsy and often links to poor quality material or error messages.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Reasonably well. I think that the actual hands on experience over time has proved more significant in my development however.

My company is supportive and incredible to work for. They are committed to helping those with disabilities achieve their full potential. They are also very flexible with staff and encourage them to reach their full potential too through advancement and training opportunities.
