Supervising dogs, cleaning, preparing food, doing check-ins and check-outs and talking to customers, doing enrichment activities with dogs and entertaining the dogs, working as a team, making sure we have a safe and fun environment for all
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

It is a great programme for any animal lover. I love learning more about animal handling and behaviour and find it fascinating.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have worked on customer service skills, dog handling skills and learnt a lot about animal behaviour!
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

We get monthly lessons, get a lot of support and everyone makes sure we have enough time and information to do our work. It has been quite a smooth experience so far.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

We can always come to our employer with questions and any problems and they will always try and help and think with you.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Our training provider is always making sure we know we can contact them if we need any extra support and make sure to check in with us regularly. They have been on top of it.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Our training provider provides us with information about dog behaviour, dog feeding, accomodation and cleaning and lots more. Information like this is great to know to perform better at tasks and to be professional when customers have questions as well.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We try and get together to do something fun as a group with our small team.
