Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

You get to site in the morning and set up for the work you are going to do in the day you then finish your work and go home at the end of the day around 4:30

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy it, it gives me a purpose in life something to drive to the be the best I can

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes I have learnt loads of new skills for example reading drawings I can read drawing now and very confidently I can also be sent off in a room and be asked to put all the studs up

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

It’s really well organised [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] spent a lot of hours putting in hard work so us apprentices can focus on the work at hand

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I am dyslexic and my company and multi trader training also really help with it all they offer me loads of support and access to stuff if I need it

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

They offered me loads of help to make the training and the qualification as easy for me to do as I really struggled with reading and writing

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It really helps because they showed us for the first 4 weeks how to do all the basics so when we got out on site we weren’t completely overwhelmed and shocked

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yeah they have a works Christmas doo that’s really fun they hire out a pub in Banbury and we all go up great laugh
