Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I liaise with clients, consignees, consignors, drivers and operators to ensure collections and deliveries go smoothly, booking where necessary, I do customs for the drivers so they can cross to and from UK/EU. Booking ferries and the Eurotunnel when needed. I ensure all tours are correct, making sure they have the right stops before sending detailed instructions to the driver / operator.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, I have adapted my skills with IT massively learning new shortcuts and improving my typing capabilities. I have learnt how to use the works systems and how to do many different customs for example, how to do GVMS, how to do the EU safety and security. I have also learnt how to calculate ETAs and when drivers will be needing rest, or finishing with their day.

I feel it helps me know how to communicate with customers better, and by describing what I have learnt and what I do in my role it helps me remember them better.
