As a freight forwarder, on a day-to-day basis I am arranging transport solutions for palletised freight within the UK and Europe. I speak with our customers to explore their needs, and then book appropriate transport solutions with our suppliers.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the apprenticeship programme a lot and I enjoy coming to work. My main enjoyment is received from helping our customer and by constantly improving my skills and knowledge withihn the freight transport industry.

Yes, I have developed a wealth of knowledge since joining the company, and have also improved my skills in many different areas.

I receive all of the support I need from my employer. If I ever have any questions or concerns I receive immediate support, and they have created a safe and open working environment where support is easily accessible for all.

Any time I need support from my training provider on TRS, it is easily accessible and available.

The training provider's programme has helped me to look at the wider picture within my industry. For example, as a freight forwarder, we do not operate any warehousing space, but I have learnt a lot about this sector which has helped me problem solve within my job role.

Yes, our workplace offers several social activities a year including a Summer BBQ, annual hike, and annual Christmas party.
