Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Emailing and calling customers, carriers, etc. updating delivery times and inputting them into our software, assisting other team members with tasks such as bookings, managing exports into Europe.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme a lot! I enjoy the practical side more, however I believe that the theory side of the apprenticeship is still very beneficial since it's helped me understand certain topics such as Incoterms.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt many new skills after beginning this apprenticeship. However, I do believe that that is mostly because this is my first time working within logistics, so I'm bound to learn new skills. I have learnt new communication skills, developed my independence as well as my teamwork, etc.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is very well organised! Before I was officially onboarded, I had been sent the entire learning plan including every topic we would be doing each month. From the start, I had a clear idea of what this apprenticeship would involve and it's definitely helped prepare me a lot!
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support from my employer, he is always making sure I'm confident and answers any questions I have. I've been able to feel comfortable around my employer very quickly due to him being so supportive.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive a lot of support from them, if I ever have any questions, she will get back to me as soon as she can and she will always go above and beyond to make sure that myself and the rest of my group understand everything within each assignment.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I believe that it does help me improve within my role, however most things won't apply to my role as we learn about all 3 pathways within logistics, whereas I just work within the road sector.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are sometimes courses that you can choose to go on, they are pretty rare however. We can partake in their Christmas parties, family fun days and charity walks though, which I am looking forward to!

Why?
Everyone here is incredibly supportive and friendly. My family members are always telling me how lucky I am to have been hired within a company who have great values and a good company spirit.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to ACP Freight Services?
It can be a very fast-paced environment and sometimes it's a struggle to keep up. On the other hand, some days are extremely quiet and can be quite boring. I would tell others to expect that not every day will be the same at all.
