• A lot of networking with team members and clients

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Due to being an intern during a relatively quiet period, there wasn’t a lot of work on ground so I could not be given that much responsibility. However, I did have a lot of independence when I assisted members of my team on projects they were working on.

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I received guidance from everyone on my team. I was assigned a buddy and a career coach early on, so I was well supported and had all my questions answered relatively quickly. Team leaders were friendly, non-judgemental, and more than happy to talk to me if I needed advice or help.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
PwC is a very supportive company to work for and there are many opportunities for progression. Because of the variety of clients and projects there are so many opportunities to gain meaningful work experience. The company is also committed to building trust in the society and solving problems. PwC helps social enterprises, is committed to promoting sustainable business, ensures transparent ESG reporting and just makes the world a better place really.

What advice would you give to others applying to PwC
PwC is an amazing place to work! It's a supportive company that is interested in seeing you thrive and be the best version of yourself. There is a good work life balance in the firm and a relaxed working environment where junior and senior members of the team are able to work together freely. The opportunities that the internship provides in terms of networking, self development and gaining experience are invaluable and I would advise anyone to go ahead and apply despite the rigorous nature of the application process.
