I am an apprentice aircraft engine mechanic, i am in my first year so i am not really getting any engine work currently and i go to Stansted airport college 3 days a week doing my modules
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am really enjoying my apprenticeship so far and am excited to be learning new skills and getting into the workshop learning new skills.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

So far i have learnt a few new skills but not as many as i would like to as i have not had much experience with the tooling yet

How well organised/structured is your programme?

i feel like the organisation works well in my apprenticeship as it is simple and easy.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

my employer gives us apprentices a lot of support for example the company is funding me for my GCSE maths tutoring.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I get support from my training provider when doing my modules as he has a very big understanding on aircrafts and we have all been passing our exams
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

i feel like it gives us a better understanding of how mechanisms function and how important they are so when we tackle them in the workshop we will be able to explain what it does.

I am taking part in the 3 peaks challenge at the end of may. i am also driving the soapbox for the great Dunmow soapbox race at the end of may.
