Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
As a People and Business Support Assistant at JLES Group, I provide HR support to the regions. My responsibilities include maintaining employee records, coordinating recruitment and new starter inductions, organising training, and monitoring both work and college attendance to ensure compliance, accurate reporting, and smooth operational support across the business.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy the Chartered Management Degree Apprenticeship at Manchester Metropolitan University. It offers a strong balance of theory and practical learning. The leadership modules link directly to my role, helping me understand management styles and team dynamics, which I apply when supporting managers and coordinating projects across different teams and regions, ensuring I communicate effectively and adapt my approach to suit different situations.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes, in this role I have developed my organisational and time management skills by balancing multiple HR and administrative tasks with strict deadlines. I’ve also strengthened my communication skills through regular interaction with staff, colleges and candidates and gained greater confidence in handling sensitive employee information.

5/5
The programme is very well organised and structured. Each module is clearly planned with manageable deadlines, and support is readily available from tutors. The combination of online resources, scheduled lectures, and workplace application makes it easy to stay on track and apply what I’m learning directly to my day-to-day role.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive great support from my employer, I couldn’t ask for more! They consistently provide time for study, encourage my development, and offer guidance whenever needed. My managers are always willing to help, and they fully support my learning and progression throughout the apprenticeship programme.

5/5
I receive excellent support from my training provider. They offer regular check-ins, helpful resources, and prompt responses to any queries. The tutors provide clear guidance and feedback, ensuring I feel confident with the course material. The combination of structured learning and continuous support has been invaluable in achieving my qualifications.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I feel that my qualification significantly enhances my performance in my role. The knowledge gained from the course, particularly in leadership, management, and business operations, directly applies to my daily tasks. It has boosted my confidence in decision-making, improved my problem-solving skills, and helped me support the regions more effectively.
