Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My overview of my role, firstly in the discovery part was to assess and evaluate new business ideas for a new product launch.
My main role in the delivery team, was giving training to our sales engineers so they are capable of selling our products as well as project management and overseeing projects.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I was trusted to deliver 2/3 major projects which has been implemented to add value to the business. Firstly, offered a major online training event to over 30 countries to introduce a new service and application.
Secondly, had the opportunity to simplify an existing process which was too complex with fresh eyes to make it easier for the consumer to understand.

I had a great support network during the internship, everyone was keen to help when I had any issues or concerns or unsure on a particular topic. I had many mentors to learn and develop their skills which was very valuable.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture and general atmosphere was a great and surprising experience. The great thing about Spirax atmosphere in SBD is that there is no hierarchy and everyone is open to chat to everyone regardless of position or rank in the company. The company has a very open and inclusive culture who care for their workers which is very important.
