I enjoy working with my team and learning new things. It could be much better though.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yeah i have learnt how to rig things up ready to lift them with a crane. I have learnt about fleeting.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Poorly. There is no structure at all. I must rely on colleagues to teach me despite it not being their job. There is little to none classroom work or help with putting together a portfolio for my end point assesment. I have been thrown into the workplace with no experience and just left to figure it out for myself.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

None really. My team leader is great but in regards to the actual company. None.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Yes we completed outward bound which was a team building week away in eskdale.

Would you recommend BAE Systems to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I would recommend the company but not the apprenticeship I have taken on as it is new and they haven't actually set out any structure or thought about it before rolling it out.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Don't do heavy lifting apprenticeship. Ask lots of questions.
