Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My role involves lots of planning and maintaining of forecast dates that help to inform finish dates. I work with engineers to find out the dates and time frames that they are planning on spending on certain tasks and record them on a tracking software.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I enjoy my program and what experiences it has to offer. I like the flexible working patterns that it offers and the activities that I am able to participate in.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
I have learnt many new skills. One of the main ones is risk management. I work to find risks by communicating with engineers and then record them and manage them. The risks are then worked up to discover impacts that they are likely to have on the project.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
The program that i am on is well structured and allows for clear understanding of upcoming events. The university curriculum is structured well to allow for easy understanding of what topics are being covered.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I receive plenty of support from my employer through reviews every 12 weeks where my progress and the need for any support is discussed. I also have weekly 1-1's with my manager where my workload and wellbeing can be discussed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
I feel that support from my training provider could be improved. I think that some aspects of the training could be improved. Such as lighting the workload as we have to balance a full time job as well as a university qualification
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I have found that some areas link directly to my role and have helped to understand and undertake activities with more ease.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
i believe that there are some networking events that happen but i have not participated in any of them. They could benefit from better promotion or marketing of these activities to apprentices.
