Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
Going into the office and writing a list of what needs doing. Check any emails and complete any work tasks, use spare time to work on the HNC.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I enjoy it, but it took a long time to get any work/training for any work, and the lecturers in our HNC are often unfair and teach us things the wrong way, which gives a lot of stress.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
Learning how to edit and create drawings and models of parts to a professional standard, using websites to access drawing histories and find parts.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
For me not so much, took nearly 8 months to start getting any training for my work. Often left with nothing to do, and so unable to make sufficient evidence reports.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
1/5
Few interactions with employer, little contact so far.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
1/5
Multiple complaints about lecturers teaching wrong content, disobeying rules and putting unfair deadlines or not enough info, but nothing was done about this. Was told they'd done all they could.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
1/5
So far it hasn't come into play. Our learning is about general engineering, whereas my work focuses on a specific area that hasn't yet required use of what I've learned.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There's a gym, and small events sent out by the office.
