Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role in Commercial Sales Operations is the Reporting and Support Executive and I have 2 main responsibilities within the team:
• Support – I organise information, content and resources, complete administrative tasks and manage inboxes for the team.
• Reporting – I manage automations, and processes that our team own or interact with. I gather, clean and analyse different datasets that our team own to provide insights for my team and share them with Sales, Senior Leadership and other areas of the business to help make effective business decisions that can improve our sales offerings and chances of winning business.

3/5
There is a clear structure made by the provider but the portal is a little clunky and disorganised via Aptem.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My team and manager have been supportive, helping me find time and being flexible where I've needed more time
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I've faced few problems but I have had support from my tutor whenever I need to develop something specific that was an obstacle.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I'm more confident, competent and knowledgeable about what is expected of me in my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Plenty of parties, team nights out and social opportunities to network with people across the business

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Softcat to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Fun, flexible, informal. Recognises positive achievement and pushes for internal development.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Softcat?
Consider the balance of pay vs work satisfaction. Softcat does not pay as well as other companies. I believe they compensate for this making it a place you want to work at.
