Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
I am a HR Trainee and for 3 years I am on placement for 6 months each time in various types of HR, so far I have been in two types of generalist roles, case coaching and resourcing. Each one comes with different tasks, projects and networking as each area has its own roles and responsibilities. However sometimes areas will come together. For example in case coaching I primarily worked on sickness absence cases, ill health capability and mental health. I would support the employees to help get them back into the business, upskill managers on policies and procedures and support them in implementing them. I would hold progress reviews for both the employee and line manager to help support them both and find out why the employee isnt at work and sign post them to the correct support if required e.g. occupational health, employee assistant programme etc.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

3/5
- Mostly yes, however I think certain things could be more structured like where we are going on placements sometimes as its normally told to us very close to when we move

3/5
A lot of support, she is very understanding and cares about our success however I would haved like grading back sooner
