Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
My day to day currently is training towards being a competent EMC test engineer, carrying out testing which is defined within DEF-STAN 59-411 which outlines testing requirements and ranges for military equipment.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
The programme is overall an enjoyable one. The variety of jobs that you can land in your placements is extremely varied and no placement is the same as the other!

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Learnt Excel Skills; Presentation Skills; Communication Skills

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
My apprenticeship has been quite a roller-coaster in terms of organised structure. I believe the business has improved a lot since my intake for future intakes, but for my apprenticeship it is quite varied due to a lot of higher up movement.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
2/5
The support is endless from the employer! The issue is how you attain the support, a lot of the words used and support is purely pompous words rather than action.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
1/5
The bare minimum.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
If I was not working towards my qualification, I would be extremely stuck in my role and unable to function as part of the team.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Many STRETCH activities you can participate in alongside your normal job which the business will allow you to allocate your time towards.
