Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

apprentice roofer. i help out in laying slate on new builds. from felt and battening to slating and ridging completing a job from start to finish.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

my program gives me great satisfaction when completing work. being able to see an end result make the work load easier.

learnt all new skills on how to slate and felt and batten.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

started slow on the college side of things but then towards the end of the first year it has picked up and now allows me to apply what i have learnt from my mentor and practise this more in college.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

my employer is very supportive. always on hand for help and questions. always checking in to see how things are and if anything is needed. they support me in all aspects now just work but my mental health too.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

my college are very helpful and supportive. they provide everything i need to nurture my skills and knowledge on roofing and help me to expand this every week i attend.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

it allows me to practise what i need and perfect a certain skill so when i go back into a working environment i can apply my knowledge and be successful.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

my work have provided me with the opportunity of being involved in the Apprenticeship ambassador network which helps progress my confidence and knowledge of the trade for future workers and myself.
