Audit Review

During the first week, I was involved with training about the firm and for my job specifically. Over the next three weeks, I helped out my team to perform their jobs, which involved learning all the system software as well as giving me a deeper insight into my chosen field and how my team does its job

I was given a good amount of responsibility during my internship. I was given access to information and resources that other, full-time workers have access to, and using these to do my own tasks, however I was never overwhelmed by having too much responsibility too early.

I have developed my ability to network in a professional environment, which I have not had to do much of before. I have also become more skilled when it comes to performing my role, since I have learnt a lot about all software and how my team uses them to carry out their work.

The level of support I received was excellent. I had numerous buddies/coaches that were welcoming, knowledgeable, and made it clear that I could message them at any time with any question I had. They always responded to me promptly and effectively, whether it be in person, over email or via a virtual chat.

Everyone has been very smiley, bubbly and friendly, whilst also being a professional. I get the impression that everyone looks out for each other, and wants everyone to succeed. It never feels like people are too competitive and want to step on you to get ahead for themselves. I was even invited to a team social, which was very fun and was the time when I really felt like I was one of the team.

Aside from enjoying it because the work interesting and it was a great opportunity overall, I can honestly look back and say that I enjoyed myself during my time at PwC. This largely comes down to the people that work here and the working environment they create.
