Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Mostly working to complete tests and checks of accounts to allow the team to audit company statutory accounts.
In the day-to-day role, the job involves checking numbers against financial statements, recalculating financial statement line items to ensure they are accurate and data processing.

So much more responsibility than I expected and more than other interns at other firms.

I have developed skills in basic accountancy, developing my knowledge of different terminology and accounting processes.
We did 3 days audit specific training which developed skills to audit clients and gave us an idea of what we would be working on.

Very nice. Very friendly. Some pressure to work later and get stuff done but everyone takes Friday afternoons off!
