I prepare accounts, tax returns and VAT returns for a range of different clients.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Doing an apprenticeship can be challenging but I enjoy learning and becoming more confident in my role.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

In my current role, I have been more actively involved in looking after clients than I was previously. I have become confident in communication and enjoy learning about my clients businesses.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

From the start of my apprenticeship, I was given a 3 year plan with details on how my apprenticeship would look. The plan is flexible so I have made a few changes to suit me and the program as a whole is well structured.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I am given time out of work to attend my courses and exams. I have regular reviews with my manager to discuss my progress and any issues I may have.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I have regular reviews with my skills coach and I am also able to contact my tutors for support.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

A lot of things I learn at college are transferrable to my role at work. Some areas of the course are not used in my role but allow me to explore other areas of accountancy.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We have company-wide socials and charity events every few months where we can socialise with people from other offices.

Why?
Doing an apprenticeship can be challenging but I am lucky to have supportive colleagues to help me through it. I enjoy being responsible for looking after my own clients and performing a range of different tasks.
