Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Managing marketing agencies for early talent programmes, working with internal stakeholders to deliver both internal and external media & marketing, working with education providers to endure all publicity is maximised, delivering social media content year round, delivering project work for specific dates & events such as national apprenticeship week.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

My programme is extremely enjoyable, i love the job that i do and the people i work with.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed many skills since joining AZ in 2022, and since the beginning of my second apprenticeship i have furthered this. I have increased my repsonsibility and therefore have honed planning and communication skills. Alongside this i have developed skills in my professions, such as videography, photography, graphic design, copywriting, comms planning etc.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Due to my unique position working within the early talent team, my work is often self driven and delivered. My education is very structured, but working gives me the freedom to choose projects based on my own expertise.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have received plenty of support, i have never felt behind or out of the loop.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I have only been at uni for 6-8 months so it is hard to tell, but there is plenty of support for both uni work and apprenticeship work such as OTJ (off the job) hours.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My work is directly influenced by what i study at university. I can learn something on wednesday at Uni, and implement it on thursday at work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There is a bustling social community with both colleagues and other apprentices. Plenty of networking events, and an amazing christmas party.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to AstraZeneca?
Do your research, study values and company ethos. Above all, be yourself in an interview/assessment centre. Authenticity and capacity to learn is what is valued most at AstraZeneca
