Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Day to days consist of a combination of classroom based and physical lessons, developing our knowledge and techniques and future physical training instructors.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy the variety and atmosphere within the programme where I feel I am continuously growing and learning. I feel, on this programme there are instructors always willing to help answer any questions and progress our abilities.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have developed my instructing skills and currently working on further developing my voice and movement during sessions. This is helping to grow my confidence as an instructor. I have also developed a greater knowledge about the theory side of physical training, including processes that occur as well as different muscles that make up the human body. This provides me with a deeper awareness when for planning and taking lessons.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
I feel learning the theory before taking lessons with trainees was beneficial in order to provide us with accurate knowledge to provide the group with, justify exercise selection and be able to plan accordingly. I like the variety of classroom and out of classroom lessons.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
On this programme, I feel we are all supported whether that be guidance, reassurance or feedback. This has been beneficial to us all, particularly those of us who are relatively new to programming and instructing.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
They provide us with all the necessary resources, skills and knowledge to succeed. They made us aware early on they are available to help and redemonstrate or provide alternative explanations to hekp us if we struggle to understand an aspect of training.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
This qualification will help to support and evidence our abilities to instruct and educate which makes us more credible. I can perform my role confidently knowing the qualification as been earned.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
As a course, we utilise the gym available to train together on mornings, evenings and weekends whether it be a strength piece, a WOD or sports.
