I attend meetings, shadow team members, complete training, work on projects, and have regular catchups with my manager and buddy to support my development.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my programme – it’s a great mix of learning, hands-on experience, and support. I feel like I’m growing both personally and professionally.

Yes, I’ve developed my confidence, improved my programming skills, strengthened my problem-solving abilities, and built skills in communication, presenting, and working collaboratively in a team.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very well organised – the programme is structured in a way that makes it manageable to balance both my university studies and work responsibilities effectively.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

The support from my employer is really good. My manager checks in with me daily, and I’ve been assigned both a buddy from the previous cohort and a mentor from within my team, which has been very helpful.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive lots of support from my training provider. We have lectures, pre-learning materials, formative assessments, and regular meetings with our assigned apprentice coach to help us stay on track.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The learning helps me gain a better understanding of the work happening across the company as well as within my team. It’s helped things start to click and make more sense in real-world contexts.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, there are plenty of extra-curricular activities. There are dedicated apprentice events including networking opportunities. The company also offers volunteering and charity events to get involved in.
