On a day to day basis the role as an MEP required a strong foundation of technical knowledge and problem solving skills when on site and design stages. It requires external interactions as well as internal interaction to solve interface issues/ that take place on projects.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I'm really enjoying the programme in terms of the opportunities I'm having including opportunities working with the external design scheme, prefabrication visits etc. And really solidifying my technical knowledge I've developed throughout the scheme.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes I've developed many skills throughout my apprenticeship scheme including improved technical knowledge, problem solving skills, team work and communication skills when interacting and helping out deliver a project.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The structure of the programme is quite organised with apprenticeship sessions per cohort. However in terms of the structure in regards to university in the degree apprenticeship the communication between them can be last minute in terms of progressed qualification.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have a really good support system from my line manager and colleagues. In terms of experience and growth my line manager ensures I'm getting all the exposure I need in the field. I've had the opportunity to work with the external design team for experience and an understanding on stages of a project as well as in the technical aspect.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive so much support from my training provider (emerging talent team). relating to my answer previously on lack of communication from the university in terms of progressing to a higher qualification. My training provider supports us in terms of checking up regularly with us and the university, having meetings discussing next steps and so on.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We have regular socials with external and internal. We also have many networking events with business leads, breakfast with leaders etc which is very insightful and worth being involved in for tips and notes on how we can become the best version of ourselves throughout our journey.
