Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I am an intern allocated to the retail, consumer and leisure (RCL) team within the Corporate Finance business unit within the Deals line of service at PwC. Within my role and throughout my time as an intern I have, shadowed members of my team, attended regular team calls on a weekly basis, assisted more senior team members with project tasks, had had regular interactions with other interns in other teams as well taken part in a Dragon's Den simulation challenge along with other interns from across other lines of service.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
In terms of actual work within the team I was assigned to, it was difficult to be given much responsibility in terms of tasks however, where responsibility was able to be given it certainly was. In terms of the Dragon's Den challenge however, there was a lot more responsibility as it was up to us to organise ourselves, conduct research, assign tasks and ultimately present our findings to the panel of Dragon's
