Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I come in and complete daily tasks, Meet and greet, I work individually and as a team to reach sales targets. Each member of staff will be delegated responsibilities each day for the store. We build rapport with customers to ensure we meet the customers needs.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I thoroughly enjoyed the programme, I would recommend to anybody who was looking to apply. I have come out of my shell and have progressed. Doing the apprenticeship programme was the best thing i ever did
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, Every day i learn more and more but my apprenticeship helped me develop new skills. I have developed in both my career and skills drastically. There is always programmes to help develop both your skills and career.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Everything is well organized and well thought through. Everything in the programme is so detailed, so thorough.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive 100% support from Hays. I know if i need anything, or if I'm not sure of something i can reach out for the support i need and extra support is given where i need it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We would have trainings weekly, Our trainers would also do shop visits to speak to our management to see how we progressed. it felt very personal
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Having the qualification behind me will open doors for me. weather that be to progress in my role or to show that i have learnt from the bottom upwards.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Hays Travel offers FAM Trips, Incentives and suppliers have events where we can go and have a look at what they offer. We have team building projects, so we can learn more about our collogues and work better as a team. We have also hosted charity events before to also know the customers.

Why?
Since i started at Hays Travel as an apprentice back in 2021 i have never looked back. I have never felt so happy and content and appreciated in a job role before. I have had opportunities to progress in my career further. Hays travel is definitely a job for life!
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Hays Travel?
Take the leap, You wont regret it. I have felt so content and happy since I have started at Hays Travel. There is so many opportunities to expand your horizons, so many informative programmes you can do for extra curricular to help benefit your knowledge. There is so much support if you need it.
