Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Daily I answer the phone and take messages. I also serve customers. Some of the things I do includes giving brochures, quotes and selling holiday to the customers. I help my branch with things such as cleaning
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy learning new things and getting the opportunity to help different people. I enjoy seeing the other apprentices as well and getting advice on different situations.

I have learned how to talk to customers and how to sell a holiday.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

We have had a few communication issues but other than that I feel like the programme is well put.

I receive support from my manager and other colleagues as well as my trainer and other people in the company such as my regional manager.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive a lot of support with my work and I tend to ask a lot of questions to make sure that I am doing it correctly.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel like being in the branch teaches me the most and my training gives me more advice.

Why?
I would recommend it because ti teaches you how to do things by yourself out of work such as making your own appointments. It also gives you the opportunity to travel.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Hays Travel?
I would say to be prepared as it is not a slow paced job. There are quite a few things that are expected of you but if you are struggling then you just need to ask for help.
