Selling holidays, upselling, gaining knowledge in destinations and products and suppliers. Training to gain relevant knowledge and experience. Using computers on sites and using company systems
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Absolutely love it. Support is by far the best I’ve ever known and the amount to learn and you do learn in the time period is amazing!

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Learnt loads of product and destination knowledge, upped my customer service skills and computer skills. I’ve also gained a lot in confidence

How well organised/structured is your programme?

There were a few minor miscommunication in the beginning but more head office side. Otherwise couldn’t be better.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

As much as I need or require. Never had such a caring company or staff support in any previous job before. Loads of external support if needed too
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

As much as I need. If I’m unsure or need an extra support system in place I can have it if I ask and she thinks of us as people and cares a lot how we are and how we are doing
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It gives me the confidence and motivation to do well. I have the knowledge or skills I need from training days to apply in store in my day to day role
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We do charity days, supplier events we can go to, staff nights out within my store for examples

Such a good company to work for, never know a company as supportive and caring as Hays. Knowledge you get is way more than I expected to receive which helps me know I chose the right company.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Hays Travel?
Go for it. If in doubt just speak up and there will be help. If you’re unsure just give it a go you’d be surprised what you can achieve in this company and how far they are willing to let you go!
