Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

On a day to do day basis i would use sale techniques to find and sell holidays to customers as well as dealing with general travel enquiries and admin work in regards to the holidays, this can be things such as changes to the holidays from the customer or the supplier and working with many different kinds of people a day this can be from customer, to colleagues, to speaking to the suppliers.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy this program as it has allowed me to gain skills that don’t just help me in a job role but also in my day to day life, such as my confidence skills and problems solving that don’t have to be just work related.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

i have developed customer service while in this job role and the ability to be able to up sell to customer. I have also gained problem solving skills and the ability to adapt to different situations depending on the type of person i am with. I have also gained the skill to build a rapport with the customers this comes from the confidence skills i have gained

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I think the program is well structured but requires a few changes such as with the pre apprentaship we started it got quite repetitive as we wasn’t learning the things we really needed such as geography and key selling skills. There was also a few miscommunication during this process.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support from my employer, especially my trainer as they always check up on you and are able to help you if you are stuck.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive a lot support if needed towards my qualification and things are always explained to me if i don’t understand it

I would recommend it as it has set me up with skills for life and gave me lots of opportunities to better myself in a job role and out of a job in a day to day basis
