Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Pretty much a sales Job with targets on most things we sell, in a morning we have a team meeting to get motivated and shown what we need to do to achive targets, sometimes the targets can be unrealistic when there is too many staff in for desks or when we are off on annual leave but still have the same target as well as cancellations come off our target meaning that sometimes we can be in a minus before even starting the month
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

yes, I have learnt more about the travel world which I wanted to do when starting the job and also gained more confidence in dealing with customers as well as banking in the Foreign exchange part.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Training is well organized I would say however it is a bit far out for people who do not live local.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
In Hays you have a designated L&D coach who is there to support you and help you along and meetings are set up every 6 weeks to catch up and progress
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
In Hays you have a designated L&D coach who is there to support you and help you along and meetings are set up every 6 weeks to catch up and progress
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I think sometimes the training can be useful and show us tips but sometimes it can be a little late meaning that we have already learnt it before hand before being shown it in training
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There is loads of events which are organized from suppliers that we attend to network and socialice and discuss new products that suppliers offer

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Hays Travel to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I think it all comes down to personal opinion and which branch you are in as they all work very differently and this is good as it means you can find what fits you best, the targets are a bit of a low point of the job but there is such a good environment, and I actually enjoy what I am doing and speaking to diffrent customers
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Hays Travel?
