Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I attend lessons at training school as part of my apprenticeship which has helped to build a foundation of knowledge and skills. When on the road, I sometimes work as an assistant. However, when on placement I am the third person on the ambulance and therefore get to utilise the skills I have learnt to develop my practice.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I thoroughly enjoy the time at training school as I find it very interesting. I also enjoy being on the road and being able to develop my skills and knowledge further.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt lots of new skills during this apprenticeship, such as IV or IO access, intubation, assessment and clinical skills. I had very little knowledge prior to starting this apprenticeship however since completing it I have been equipped with all of the knowledge and skills to help develop myself as a clinician.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Very well organised, I am aware of when I am at university and am provided with time off the road to help assist with my studies at the correct time.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I have received a lot of support from my employer throughout my apprenticeship. They have supported me with developing my skillset. If I have had any issues with the university, my employer has helped to overcome these issues with me.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My training provider has provided me with a lot of support throughout the degree. They have helped to provide me with the knowledge to complete the qualifications. They have briefed me on the assignment and have contacted the university for any uncertainties that I have had.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
My provider ensures to develop my knowledge and skills to the best of my ability. They have access to excellent equipment and facilities. The experience on the road and at training school is invaluable. All of the teachers have outstanding knowledge also.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
- there are sports team such as netball and football
