Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Greeting and dealing with customers, both over the phone, in person and on social media. Working along side colleagues and suppliers and having an ongoing knowledge of latest travel updates. Being able to upsell and give excellent customer service.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have learnt a lot during the programme, gaining a lot of skills and knowledge regarding sales, the travel industry and a customer service role. As well as this I have gained a lot of personal development.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Learning about all the different supplier that Hays Travel can book through. Having geographical knowledge to recommend destinations and resorts effectively to customers.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Overall the programme is well organised and focuses a lot on the sales aspect of the role.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive both plenty of support from trainer, Manager, colleagues in store and Regional sales manager.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive plenty of support and guidance from my trainer. She is able to share valuable guidance on her years/ experience in travel. Always feel comfortable to speak to her.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I am made aware of the needs that need to be met and the standard of the company and how we provide out services to out customers as a business overall.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I have been lucky enough to have attended multiple events held by the company and or suppliers that have held events. I have found this as a great way to meet other people within the company and industry as well as latest campaigns.
